Diabetes Slow Cooker Dinner Recipes

Are you looking for some diabetes slow cooker dinner recipes? Like most of us, I am aware of the importance diet plays in health. I love combining the ever increasing interest in health and nutrition with the convenience of using a slow cooker. These diabetes slow cooker dinner recipes make delicious additions to your meal planning for the week. Click on the link below each photo to take you to the recipe. Try and enjoy these diabetic friendly dinner ideas!

For people with diabetes, one of the main goals is maintaining or achieving a healthy weight and a balanced blood sugar level. Planning what and when you will eat is especially important for people with diabetes. A slow cooker makes it much easier to plan and prepare in advance and to have meals on the table on time. These are fill-it-and forget-it diabetes slow cooker recipes!

Using your Slow Cooker

A slow cooker (also called a crockpot) is an on the counter appliance that does it’s work by cooking foods very slowly, from about 200 F on the low setting to 300 F on high. This slow, moist cooking environment enables the slow cooker to produce mouth watering braises, chilies, soups, stews, breakfast cereals and desserts.

Food Safety Tips with your Slow Cooker

Because the slow cooker cooks at a low temperature for long periods of time, cooking with a slow cooker requires a bit more vigilance about food safety than does cooking at higher temperatures.

Keep foods refrigerated until you are ready to cook. Bacteria multiply quickly at room temperature. Don’t allow ingredients to rise to room temperature before cooking.

Do not put frozen meat, fish or poultry into a slow cooker. Unless otherwise instructed, thaw frozen food before adding it to the slow cooker. Frozen fruits and vegetables should usually be thawed under cold running water to separate before being added to recipes.

Don’t lift the lid while food is cooking. Each time the lid is removed, it takes about 20 minutes for the slow cooker to recover the lost heat. This increases the time it takes for food to reach the “safe zone”.

Lemon Garlic Chicken

“A very easy and tasty recipe for everybody! The result is a juicy tender chicken with great taste thanks the herbs.”

What does Fall Aesthetic mean?

Fall aesthetic is all about looking at photos that give you fall vibes or get you inspired and into the Fall mood. Autumn cozy means to give a feeling of warmth, comfort and relaxation with the Autumn season.

Fall is such a beautiful season with it’s bright vivid colors and cooler temperatures that draw us indoors to gather and savour the harvest and fruits of summer. Here you’ll find beautiful fall inspiration to nurture your soul with this next change of season.

“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald

Fall Aesthetic Tips

Looking at different Autumn aesthetic ideas gives me lots of great ideas on what I’d like to include in my own enjoyment of the season. But with so many autumn aesthetics out there, how do I decide on the one that suits me? Well, one thing I do is use the colors that are already in my home; I coordinate with those colors for my fall aesthetic in the area of decor.

Another thing I like to do is get my pantry stocked up with fall kitchen essentials . For autumn, of all the seasons, is the one when the urge to get cozy and comfy, to invite others over, to gather the ones we love close near the fireside, is strongest.

Best Fall Family Picture Ideas

Are you looking for some ideas for fall family photos? Fall is just around the corner and with the change in season and it’s coming beauty there will be some great photo opportunities just ahead. It’s the time when we gather together for that annual family photo shoot for Christmas cards and gifts. Here are some best fall family picture ideas to get you started.

Photographer

Having a great photographer who knows what they are doing and is able to make you and your family feel comfortable is very important, so be sure to ask/shop around and be sure to book well enough in advance for a family portrait.

Location

Choose a beautiful location with fall colors or a place that has special meaning to you. Some ideas could be to take a walk down a forest path that can lead you to vibrant fall foliage of reds, yellows and oranges.

To make the most of the beautiful autumn season and the fall aesthetic you could visit an apple orchard, corn maze, pumpkin patch, park, lake or a nearby barn or cabin.

You could also ask your photographer for some location ideas; they are guaranteed to have some favorite spots in mind for a beautiful fall family picture.

Props

Bringing along a few items to help set the stage or assist in posing can be a good idea. For example, bringing along a plaid blanket to keep everyone clean and dry for an outdoor session, or bringing a crate, chair or a hay bale to build a base for posing can be a great help. Fall props could be pumpkins, apples, apple crate, corn stalks etc. You might want to include items that reflect the interests of your family such as books, or a bicycle. Family photos are a time to capture who your family is at that time.

What to Wear

Family photo outfits should compliment the background of the photo. Keep your color choices neutral, warm earth tones, or muted, or if you know the location, complimentary to that. Choose clothes for the family that coordinate with each other. Boots, scarves, sweaters and layering are popular for fall family picture ideas.

Also, walk around your home and think about where you will display these photos. If they are going in the living room look at the colors in there. Do you have bright decorative accents or more of a neutral palette?

Go for Candid

Go for candid photos. Emotions can be a great asset to a photo regardless of purpose. Besides, it’s a lot easier to capture candid shots of your children rather than convincing them to put on a pose. While pose photos are great, candid shots will most likely show everyone’s individual personalities that make an emotional connection to the photo.

Posing

Some easy go-to posing ideas could be walking, a tickle fight, playing in the leaves. If you are a pet owner, including your pet to the family photo is a great idea. If you do include your pet maybe have another person to help get the pet’s attention and then handle the pet for the photos that do not include them.
