This easy and moist banana bread recipe is always a favorite! Banana bread is one of those comfort foods that never gets old. This easy recipe is great for breakfast or an after school snack and is sure to satisfy.
If I have bananas that are getting too ripe and aren’t able to use them right away, I just put them in the freezer and use them when I can for this easy recipe. This is the best ever easy moist banana bread and makes a delicious addition to your meal planning for the week.
Banana Bread Variations
This banana bread is great on its own but is also delicious with chocolate chips (as shown in photos). When you get tired of regular banana bread try one of these ideas instead. Walnut banana bread (add 3/4 cup chopped walnuts to this recipe instead of the chocolate chips.)
Walnut chocolate chip – add 1/2 cup walnuts and 1/2 cup chocolate chips to this recipe.
Coconut – add 3/4 cup shredded coconut to this recipe.
Pecan – add 3/4 cup chopped pecans to this recipe.
Blueberry – add 3/4 cup blueberries to this recipe.

4 Tbsp butter or margarine at room temperature
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2-3 ripe mashed bananas
3/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
325 F oven for 60-70 minutes
Cream butter and brown sugar. Add beaten egg; beat until mixture is light and fluffy.
Sift together flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
Mash ripe bananas with a fork. Combine alternately with the flour to creamed mixture. Pour into greased loaf pan.
Bake at 325 F for 60-70 minutes. Let cool before slicing. Enjoy!
